Ingredients
- 3 cups lentils or beans, cooked
- 1 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1 pound ground pork or ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
- 8 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix lentils, bell pepper, ground meat, and egg with your hands. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Form meat mixture into 8 patties.
- Heat a 12 inch skillet to medium high. Sear patties until dark brown on one side, then flip them and sear on the other side to 160 F.
- Serve on toasted buns with your favorite condiments.
- Refrigerate any leftovers within 2 hours.
