Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

This smoothie is rich, creamy and loaded with chocolate flavor. It has no added sugars and can be made non dairy, as desired. Substitutions for nut butter and fruit are possible.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large banana, chopped and frozen
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions:

  1. In a heavy duty blender, add all ingredients. 
  2. Blend until combined.
  3. If a thicker smoothie desired, add 1 cup ice and blend again
  4. Divide into 2 glasses and enjoy immediately.
  5. Can be stored covered in refrigerator for up to 3 days. Shake or whisk well before serving.
  6. To freeze: pour into ice cube trays or a shallow container and store in freezer for up to 6 months. If using ice cube trays, unmold into freezer container once frozen. When ready to serve, place frozen smoothie in blender, blending until smooth and thick.
