Beet, Orange, and Ginger Smoothie

This smoothie is loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants to support immune function and heart health. If you are a fan of ginger, go ahead and add more! Strawberries would be another great addition to this smoothie too.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 whole orange, peeled
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 1/2 cup chopped raw or roasted beets or canned beets drained
  • 1 banana, frozen or fresh
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Instructions:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve cold.
