Baked Cinnamon French Toast

No more standing at the stove to flip French toast! This recipe is great for preparing for a family or event.

Servings: 12

Ingredients:

  • 12 slices bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter 
  • 7 eggs 
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spay. 
  2. Line the baking dish with 6 slices of bread.  
  3. Spread the butter on one side of the remaining 6 slices of bread. Place on top of bread in pan, butter side up. 
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat together eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon. Pour over the bread and let sit for 15 minutes.
  5. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.  
  6. Slightly cool before serving. Serve with fresh berries and a drizzle of maple syrup.  
  7. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container within 2 hours.
