Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken 

Set it and forget it with this slow cooker sweet and tangy chicken. No crockpot or need a quick meal? Cook the meat in the oven or on the stovetop.

Ingredients

  • 8 skinless and boneless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup lower sugar barbecue sauce
  • 1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks in 100% juice or water, undrained
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a 5-quart slow cooker, add chicken pieces.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the barbeque sauce, pineapple, green pepper, onion, and garlic.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken and stir to combine. 
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until chicken is cooked through to 165°F.  
  5. Serve the chicken over cooked rice.
